  6. Unfortunately no one else will insure five bikes and offer european
recovery on bikes more than ten years old.

CN got my business as much as I wish they hadn't. (about 400 quid for
    GSXR1000, ZXR750, K75, K1100, K100 sidecar)

So, 80ukp per bike. Bargain. Why would you not want them to have your
    business ?

  8. Long running grudge from more than 10 years ago where they tried to
force me to use an in -house alarm specialist. Not a rational thing
    just a prejudice.

They tried that shit with me, I flat out refused to fit an alarm and in
the end they caved and sold me the policy anyway at the same price.

  10. I fucked off to Mitchell and Partners (and paid more for the same cover
with no recovery). Only gone back to them because of the sidecar I've
taken to the elefant- BMW based you see.

I've not had any problems with them. They send a renewal for the five
bikes which always seems about the same as the previous year and compares
well with other firms (this post is probably the death knell for that).

They do my car too. I'm sure I could get that slightly cheaper but in
both car and bike cases the European recovery is the clincher - The Jag
is FC, stored on the road, in the SE with Euro recovery all for ?165,
    which seems not bad.

When the Guzzi was recovered from Germany a couple of years ago it went
    without a hitch.

That certainly used to be the case up to the last renewal, when the
premium pretty much doubled (which was later blamed on an admin error
but I know I wasn't the only person on here who had that particular
    'admin error').
I used to have the 911 insured with them but that quote went up
considerably as well. As that one needs to be garaged 'cos it's a
Targa[1] several other insurance companies are happy to quote on that. A
lot of us on the 911 forum I'm on found Hagerty to be really good for
garaged classics but their underwriter won't touch non-garaged
cars. Heritage insurance is another company worth contacting, they gave
me a very good quote for several classics in the past and are happy to
insure the Integrale, which is parked outside.

[1] Some scrote cutting the roof will more or less write the car
off. IIRC the roof itself is something like 7k-10k from Porsche.

That's what I was referring to. In one starvation event Mao allegedly
    disposed of 27 million.

I expect it was in part intentional and in part cack handed management

Pah, we've just got rid of 85 million in a half hour lunch meeting.
