Nope, but the email address in the headers is valid. Something makes me
suspect the one in yours isn't.

    For a 2004 car with 62000 miles?

I've never[1] owned a car which is newer or has covered fewer miles. I
    don't plan to start now.

[1]This might be a lie as wifie's car is in my name.

Be worth checking if the amended intervals came in before the Dame Edna
    facelift - which moved to 18k / 1 year.

I'd aim for less than £4.5k myself. Closer to £4k.

Especially as John wouldn't need a warranty from a UK dealer, as it's
    going abroad.

(SteveH) gurgled happily, sounding much like they
    were saying:
    It doesn't matter much...

Just knock the price down about £250 from what you think's about right,
to cover getting a specialist to drop the sump and cleaning out sludge
    from the oil pickup.

2004's reckoned to be where they started to get it right, but they said
that before, then - at about 4yo - engines started to show symptoms...

I thought that was only a problem for the 2.0t and 2.3t low-pressure
    lumps and not the Aero?

Fairly sure it changed with the engine revision in 2004, when they
    solved the oil pickup problem.

If you can get me it for £4k, I'll bring you all the Leffe you can drink.

That was then, this is now and buyer for that? probably not one in the UK,
bloke might need to look overseas )

People have mentioned 4k, seems ok. In fact when you look at it, maybe 3
years left on it before it gets loose, one has to love the current market as
a buyer with nothing to sell.

OTOH someone with a 45k miles 911 wanting a current model GT3 *might* just
swallow 500 asprin and a bottle of gin in a hot bath ;o)

JH, accomodation in York and a lift over is no problem.

Well it was a small laugh given JH is in Belgium but the market is seriously
fucked for anything juicy right now. Remember that 750iL.
Oh I agree absolutely. For someone who bought it new one would be gutted at
    5k. But 4k is 20% down, that's a bit more than haggling!
