Castle Combe bit me (again) today and added another to the
smashed collarbones in the series, making a total of
eight so far this season. :-(

I got skittled from behind by an orange bib numpty who
then proceeded to ride over me and the bike. I managed
to get up and off the track but laid the other side of
the armco and just knew my collarbone had gone.

One ride in the ambulance and a rather sweaty me
as the doc removed my leathers, a load of pain killers,
getting picked up by my old man who drove 4+ hours
to come and get me then a trip to Chelmsford A&E,
a blue spongy sling and I'm finally at home.

Leathers and lid are a write off, bike has lots of cosmetic
damage plus a bent zorst where he used me as a braking
marker and probably bearing trouble if it was running
    while on it's side.

    Isn't racing great!

    Oh dear.

The bone's going to smart a bit.

But not as much as the Ursine One leaping about and yelling "I *told*
    you so!".

Thanks, although I think I still have the spare
pegs you made up for me. They do a brilliant job
of acting like a crash bung while bending and
grinding away, keeping most bits off the floor.

Unfortunately they don't repel attacking numpties.

Ta. I've already had the collarbone chat with Cobby
yesterday and he said the same. I'm at the fracture
clinic tomorrow so we'll see what happens, but have
a works private policy if I need it.

Four hours? I'm just down the road. We could have collected you and
propped you up on the sofa to laugh at. Beer, drugs and munchies within
    reach etc.

Unfortunately the electrics didn't fail today so I had to crash it to
maintain the average "in workshop" time appropriate for this type of
    Italian motorbike.
