Cat down

  1. After 17.5 years the kidneys finally gave up this morning.

It was very emotional holding her whilst the vet administered last
    rites.

Oh well, it's only a cat:(

Sorry to hear that mate. The furry little buggers really get to you,
don't they? Still, a damned good innings for a moggie, is that.

Aye. I don't blub that often, but I did the day they did that to him.

    Daft moggie. RIP Samson.

  4. They do. She was a second hand cat (as the previous 'keeper' moved into
a flat which they didn't care for) but she was still a love and it was a
good 3 years we had with her.

Now her sister is another thing; a cranky old tart she is...

junk@[127.0.0.1] took a blunt brush and painted...
Sad news, I can guess how you feel.

Both mine are about 14~15 years old now, neither looks older than 10. Daft
    lovable fur balls.

Now, I thought it was dogs that reflected their owner's character...

(I read the header and thought this would be a thread about exhaust
systems and the replacement cost, actually)

Renal failure? Sounds like the cat liked a drink!

    Like her owner then;)

Actually, I'm told it's a common problem in cats. French (for that was
her name) was diagnosed with this over 5 years ago so I suppose she's
had a good innings despite this.

    I still miss her though!

That's what my two went with last year, within 6 weeks of each other.
They were 18 and 17 so good innings. I still miss them.
Kitten time. I have resorted to luring neighbourhood cats to get my
    fix of pussy.

I seem to be a pussy magnet at the moment.

I was pottering in the garage a few dyas ago and the neighbour's fluffy
    thing came to visit.

Yesterday, I was solicited by a cat in a car park.

Today, I had a ginger tom kipping on my lap when I visited a client.
