What on earth is happening with Honda? The fastest Honda bike in 6th?
After Rossi's Yamaha, two Suzukis, A Kawasaki, a Ducati? And the
fastest Honda powered bike is Roberts?

    Can anyone explain?

    Cheers,

  2. the short version: Rossi because he is Rossi (with a chassi that works whith
Q-tires) and the kawas, suzukis and duc because of Q-stones.

Roberts was a big surprice and I have no good theory on how he got that
high. Sounds like they got quite a lot help from Honda to tune their engine
    lately.

  3. Not at all an attempt but as long as his name come up I whould probably have
to re-declare him as king to avoid that response.
Well, I guess sr. had a pretty good chassi last year as well. The Kr bike
climb the results every time it rains. And I might have got that Honda help
a bit wrong as jr actually talked about settings. A bit unclear what thar
ment. Chassi or engine mapping. Any way, it's great to see another bike on
    the front row.
Sure VR is the favorite, but I don't know about Roberts. Doesn't he have
tendency to fade at least as fast as the stones? Or mayby that was in his
    suzuki days only.

Pedrosa is way back in 11. but, not that bad race tire lap times. Capirossi
made a jump on his last lap and are in there.
I find it hard to decide who to put in behind Rossi except Hayden. Maybe
Nakano won't fade as fast this time. Stoner was fast, Marco could have been
    higher up without his crash.
Either way, they will all do their best to make the others loose points to
    Rossi.

Roberts was close to being on top for times the whole Catalan weekend.

Maybe that the KR is a "*ahem* honda side team to try a few things ( frame
etc ) without the politics of the results/constructors championship being
    impaired.

KR wouldn't mind the massive $$ injection for the project if he was asked to
    do it.

Last race, the KR project was the big improver than most other projects & it
seemed that the lack of dry time with the new chassis kept them a step
behind until race day. It seems that they kept the same base setup since the
last meeting & it was pretty much close to the mark this weekend.

Jnr is back with his old technician of Warren Willing with whome he won the
2000 title, maybe that little comfort is also healping in the upstairs dept.

    Cheers
