"He was also given five points on his licence at Southampton
Magistrates' Court and fined a further £60 for driving otherwise in
    accordance to his licence."

Wonder what that last bit was about. Derestricted bike? Moped licence?
Riding a cruiser without a rainbow endorsement?

Chinese 125, no L-plates on it - any bets on him being on a provisional?

"Paul Collins was riding his bike, which had no front registration
    plate"

They report that like it's something unusual.

    I suspect they meant L-plate.

  6. I see no evidence of piss taking. It looks to me like the bloke was
    adjusting his visor.

It looks like they've deliberately blurred his hand. They must be
    thinking of the children.

Blimey. I'm thinking of the number of times I played this trick at
three-figure speeds, with the forward-facing camera outside Tunbridge
    Wells on the A21.

The one just before the Quarry Hill turnoff on the A21?

That's the one. I made it a point of honour to set it off every
morning I could on the bikes, and then decided a bit of discretion was
needed, as the bikes had some rather distinctive ID marks...

  12. I think that the People of Southampton should feel pleased that they
live in such a perfect, ordered place, that finding this tit is all
the filth have to do all day.

But.... he doesn't live in Southampton does he?

He's from my hometown, actually about 1/4 mile away from where I grew up!
I already knew the place had gone to the dogs so this wasn't that much of
    a surprise to me :)

  14. "By law motorcyclists do not have to display a front registration plate."

    Suggests not.

There's been at least one other case similar to this IIRC where the
rider was tracked down by his clothing etc.

I think they meant registration plate, but being thick cunts they don't know
    that bikes don't carry them.

One guy got caught because he had a fucking screw missing from the
fairing/or screen attachment. On a ZX10 IIRC. Plod sat waiting 'til he came
down the same road some time later.

You'd think they had better things to do.

A beemer rider, IIRC, who used to take the piss outside the Blackwall
    tunnel.
