    Hello everyone,
Need some help with my limited knowledge here.
Driving home from work the other day, rear wheel locks up, and won't go no
    ore.
When I looked, the rear wheel hub next to the sprocket looked like a scene
from Alien. There was rubber and bent metal everywhere.
Since discovered, it was the circlip let go and the cush drive was
disintegrated. It also took a chunk of the alloy seperator between one part
where the cush drive rubbers sit. How vital are these seperators?
I ordered a 'new' used wheel from a breaker, (I'm awaiting a reply before I
name them), asked if evrything, including the cushion drive rubbers were
included and was told yes. Got the bleeding thing on Friday night, and it
wasn't in much better shape then the one I already have. And no cush drive
rubbers! Anyone else run into this kind of problem ordering parts over the
phone? I paid £64 delivered for the wheel. I tried to call on
Saturday...no answer. Emailed them and awaiting a reply now.
Back to the original question. any opinions about the missing chunk of
alloy between the cush drive compartments?

    cheers in advance
    J.

If it's the part I'm thinking of, that's what the cush drive actually,
er, drives, innit? So now you've got your six-legged arthropod sat in
the middle pushing the cush drive rubbers (or would bem if they were
there) which are now pushing against five partition walls instead of
six. Probably not terminal, but if the good lord Soichiro had meant
there to be five partitions, he'd have gone with a starfish and five
    partitions.

The guy was good to his word and sent the rubbers for the cuch drive.
Next stupid question, can I take the hub out of one wheel by loosening the
five bolts around it, and put another one in. Then I wouldnt have to change
    the tyre and evryting.
If I shouldn't be asking this stuff, pleese let me know.
    Cheers
