Any body ever ''layed'' Ceramic Tile? I'm busy laying a new floor in
our family room. The 'hard ass' part was the labor of 'scuffing'' up
the old Tiles, all 300 of them. Just wondered. (Mr.JayTFuss.)

==No shit. it do cost....even doing it myself. Louie, when I went to
pick up the new 600 pieces, or 50 boxes...it weighed 2500 lbs. I had
to make 2 trips. When they set the ''full pallot'' on , it brought my
springs/shock almost down on the' tires. So I took 25 boxes home, and
then had to unload 'em, then after a nap, went back for the remaining
    25 boxes. I'm a gluttin for hard labor, I rectum. takeItEZ -

you already did the hard part. Buying then carrying the heavy shit home. I
have laid a few floors. If you pay attention, there is no reason you can't
do as good or better of a job than someone else is there? Get you a cheap
tile saw the right tools and plan it out. Prepare to get dirty. Do a little
    at a time

===========Yep, that's what I did, and what i'm currently doing.
The cuts are pretty cantankerous, at times. I've been in woodworking
all my life, and cutting Tile, is a litttttttttle bit harder,
heheheheh. But, I love it. I set about 50 tiles, then quit. Next
morning ''grout' em, then set a few more....taking my time.
I've put down about 250 of them, and moving on.......chuckle---------

come and see the results. Let us know.

===Yeah, I'm doing okay....aint had no Knee pain yet, better cross my
eyes, uhhh...fingers. =It's really fun. Instead of going with the
traditional grout line of 1/4 inch, I'm going wider, 1/2 inch. We want
it to look like stone. Our tiles have rugged edges.....the southwest
    look. MrJayT=

===Lordy, Lordy, sheeese.......the grouting is a hard ass job. I
learned not to get too much going at a time. I have now''set'' about
    350 Porcelyn Tiles.
Twelve Tiles to the box, of which weighs 55lbs. A bag of ''thinset''
weighs 5o lbs, and a bagof' ''''summer wheat grout'' weighs 25
lbs....so in the last week, I have shifted, picked up, moved over,
dragged, and mixed approxamately 1600 lbs of stuff......heheh
