I've got a CG125 in poor nick that my brother was gonna scrap. Might
stick some nobbly tires on it and take it greenlaning. Anyone ever
    tried it?

  4. Ok so it's underpowered, it can be geared down, the problem is
suspension. Bit of a non starter.

No reason it shouldn't be fine for a bit of trundling about in the woods,
    I'd have thought.

Why not? Sticks a nice pair of MX bars on it too.

Let us know how you get on. We haven't had a new GHPOTHUF number awarded
    for years.

You'll get a knobbly for the back (3.0 x 18), I've got one on mine. Not
so sure about getting one that'll go on the front though. Unless you can
    get one in 2.75 x 18 size.

  9. I think a 3.00x18 ought to fit the front rim.

Oh yes, for sure, but the mud guard may want removing to clear the tyre.

Well at these speeds it won't matter!
I used an XL125. Similar engine, underpowered but it would make headway
in 2-3 gears, the suspension was outstanding though!

  14. I killed the suspension on my RS125DX many years ago by doing a similar
    thing. Great fun. Do it.

    The reverse is a CG125.

  19. Well, you'd want to do that anyway. Fit a nice high-0level plastic
    guard.

I tell you, this lad has potential. A CG125 dirt bike.

I'm sure Adie will sell you her CG for a very sensible price.
