CG Adventure Holiday

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Sean Hamerton, Dec 10, 2006.

  1. Matie and I have been thinking about doing a euro-tour on a pair of
    CG125s some time next year.

I'm almost certain it's been done before, but google hasn't been
    fruitful.

The route is unconfirmed, but I definitely want to do the Alps and
    perhaps the Pyrenees.

    I'm wondering about:

    1. Luggage options (homebrewed stuff is being considered).

    2. Most likely mechanical issues to come up against on a 2000 mile trip
with all manner of roads - motorway, moutains, etc.

    3. Other points of interest all you FOAKs out there may care to
    highlight.

I realise the whole premise of such a trip is silly really, considering
that Matie and I both have perfectly tourable 600s...

What manner of mechanical issues would you expect to come up against
commuting it half an hour at each end of the day, 5 days a week for 2

  3. Well, I'm interested in what's most likely to die on an early/mid
    nineties model, if anything?

Though we will be pottering in a very unstressed manner the whole way,
    naturally.
