Is there any difference between Motorcycle Chain Lube and Chainsaw
    Oil?

If no, then would it do any harm shoving chainsaw oil on my motorcycle
    chain?

I've been using chainsaw oil for years - works very well indeed.

Same here. I use Husqvarna chainsaw oil in my Scottoiler. 5 litres of
chainsaw oil costs the same as two 1/2 litre bottles of Scottoil.

  4. Wooden' (sorry) scottoiler's anti fling ingredients be a worthwhile addition
    to the oil then ?

They must have left that out of the bottles I've had.

How do you think chainsaw oil stays on the chain of the chainsaw?

    1. Learn how to leave in attributions and distinguish your reply from
    the text you're quoting.
    2. Utter bollocks. Most of the time a chainsaw is in use it's probably
got less than 10% of it's length 'enclosed' by the item it's cutting,
particularly not the end 'sprockets' where the fling would (and does)
occur. Have you ever actually used one?

Thanks for your help, everyone. I've got 2 litres of Bosch chainsaw
oil and a motorcycle chain that I don't want to go rusty.

    Ta very much.
