**** all torque below about 3k due to the advance kicking in too early.

Still managed a couple of miles to check things were working as they
should[1]. Rear brake is pathetic, although I suspect that might be
down to adjustment failure on my part. It does not like settling at
idle, usually around 1500 although when the advance stops "advancing"
then it'll idle happily at about 1000, so back to the CB forum to try
and find a fix. Bloody carbs leaked again as well, ordering some fuel
filters to try and fix it. Quite a pleasant 5 min bimble though, seems
quite easy to ride, and is very controllable at low speeds despite the
idling issue not making throttle control at those speeds very easy.

Made a few enquiries on swapping with a Brit single, but nothing yet.

RD MOT ran out on the 1st, so booking that in shortly as *shock* I
actually intend using it this year - next stop Shardlow for the monthly
    East Mids RD get together.

[1] Private road naturally as no MOT

    Ah ta, left a vm.

Not really ready to sell as it's no MOT, but unless I've missed anything
it's nearly ready to go for one. Back brake adjusted up, in-line fuel
filters fitted, just needs a couple of miles more testing before I take
a trip to my newly discovered friendly local MOT shop.

Yeah, I know. I think 2 classics is 1 too many for me. I'm taking the RD
to work on Monday (Nottingham->Matlock->Buxton->Stockport, woohoo!),
depending on how that goes I'll either stick with just the RD this year
or pick up a low mileage Bandit/SV or similar.

RD sailed through the MOT last week and it's got another years tax, so I
have motivation to put more than 100 miles on it this year. As my
commute is a 140 mile round trip then I should manage it :)

Ah, it's the 'better to travel hopefully' syndrome in action.
