In preparation and practice for needing to fix punctures, I have done a
tyre change on Jean's bike today.

Fook, I had forgotten how hard it was.

Just mine left to do now.

What an epic lesson in how to scratch the **** out of a pair of wheel
    rims.

'swot I thought but he mentioned he didn't GAF in the 2nd video. I just
    liked the improvised bead breaker

Early days of tubeless tyres: a plank and a car to drive onto it was
    the weapon of choice.

The black 400 four just failed MOT due to bead breaking cunts like that.
The sidewall edge of the front wheel is nicely bent inwards where it
obviously took the force of a beadbreaking attempt which missed the
tyre and got the rim. Wheel out and off it goes to a nice wheel man [1]
    for fettlement. GRRRRRRRRRRR.

Portugal) speedway nutter and wheel guru.

Just been checking the Peg side stand, it has a big sticky out bit for
putting your heal against to put it down, will probably catch on the rim.

But will let you know Monday[1] when I do part 2.

[1] Jean's bike has not returned from service yet, sprocket cockup[1]
    [2] Suppliers book wrong [3]
[3] It it turns out the supplier was told 12 months ago.

Er... you know you could put it so the sticky out bit runs parallel to
the rim rather than at right angles to it you know.

  14. Indeed. Much more likely to have hit something.

    Check the lock stops.....

And now we know why it's been repainted - the tank will have a ding in
    it.

#ding#. And he's talking about the one he failed to sell on ebay, with
an 1100 reserve, so the pictires confirm it's got the original spoked
    wheels.

Crn in "gets it totally wrong" non-shocker!

FWIW, the wheel man took a look at the damage and the marks on the rim
and (without any prompting from me) said "clumsy tyre monkeys".
This tallies with the fact that it has a new front tyre following
an advisory on the previous MOT.
    All OK.
Nope - it passes a careful magnet test.

No, just another "Ace jumping on bandwagon with no clue whats right or wrong".
Definite non-shocker, par for the course.

    FOAD.

Champ, it's not the bead breaking that wrecks the rims, it's the
hamfisted way the video maker scrapes the tyre levers all over his
anodised black GS rims, no doubt taking fucking huge chunks out of
them. No decent mechanic would do that job without using rim protectors
    - that bloke is a fucking animal.
