If anyone's interested, Maplin are knocking-out Garmin Streepilot i2s for
£99.99 (spent an extra penny on something, then knock another £7 off that if
you've subscribed to their newsletter and got a discount voucher):
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=48005&TabID=1&source=1&doy=7m5.

Took delivery of mine yesterday - seems a pretty competant, if basic bit of
kit. Full UK and Ireland maps (plus a bit of Northern France) included.
Would need a bit of fettling to fit to a bike, as it really needs a flat
surface to suction-cup to, and isn't waterproof, but it's the cheapest sat.
nav. I've seen to date (wait six months and they'll be even cheaper, of
    course).

I got the I3 model a few weeks back before we went on our hols, bloody
good wee beastie so it is.

Make sure you head over to http://www.maft.co.uk/garmin/ to get a list
of extra POIs, and http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/ to sign up for your
speed camera POI file (£19 per annum).

Looking back through Google Groups, it seems that Somerfield were doing i3s
for £99.99 back in January - so you may want to hold out for an even better
offer. I'm still chuffed with mine though.

Bloody useful - ta. Didn't realise you could get speed camera alerts on it -
that'll save me a few points. Just got a month's subscription to try it out,
and it seems to do exactly what it says on the tin.
