Have you used them before, Zebee? I'm wondering how difficult it'd be to
get the grips on over the top of the heater pads without creasing them up?

No, I haven't. Download the instructions, see what they say....

  4. Looking at the instructions , it appears simple enough to install on any
    bike
But, looking further at the page and clicking on the "sizing chart".
why the hell would you want to know how far your crotch is from the ground
for a set of grip warmers?

    Maybe they're mismarked crotch warmers.

    But there's two of them!

you mean I've misunderstood what they meant by "Tasmanians have two
    heads" all these years?

Heated grips, heated seats, heated jackets, body armour,
foam-cushioned Armco, training wheels, trailers, stereo speakers,
    fairings...

We can't be too far away from a fully enclosed, airconditioned
"motorcycle" fully equipped with recliner-rocker and on-board cinema
for the pillion as well as 23 airbags which, when activated also
    trigger the on-board EPIRB.

    Faaaarkenell...

i have a set in packet from the last time they were cheap

they have a bunch of useful cheap tools often

a mate of mine used them on a 954 blade with good results

for the price worth a go

That would be the one opposite the "near canal" then?

Heated grips are a great idea - but make sure you wire them into the
ignition circuit and not direct into the battery so it gets flattened
    when someone "plays".

    Very good point.

I got heated grips on the DR650 :) when I got the bike new.
I was a little upset that they wired it direct to the battery (fused) so
    they could always be on.

When I mentioned this it was explained to me that if they wired them to
switch off with the ignition it would void the warranty....

Thinking BS I used a relay off the wire for the numberplate light.

    :p

    I love heated hand grips!
I got this from the link...

Draws 3 amps/40 watts on high and 2 amps/28 watts on low

    Could a VTR250 power these?

    :p

Resistor? Pfft! I'd make a PWM circuit to give an infinite number of
    heat settings! :)
