Pinlocks have microscopic pits in the active surface, which over time
fill up and degrade the performance of the insert. Simply wash the
inner face with soapy water, rinse and allow to dry somewhere warm, so
the water evaporates cleanly. This should restore it nicely. The face
that goes nearest to the visor should not be affected, and may be
simply wiped clean (avoiding removal/contamination of the silicone
    sealing bead, of course).

This new one's absolutely perfect. Sat in the pissing rain on the way
home, not a hint of fogging. Roll on tomorrow night.

In your defence you are a fair bit taller though Paul.

Mine's been wavering around the 25 mark for a while, although it's
currently down to 24.3, but only if I use my old height of 6'2" - 24.8
if I use 186cm (6'1.2"), which, IIRC, was the last officially-measured
    height I've had.

There's been as much fluctuation in that as there was in my weight
over the last couple of years, depending on how upright I'm able to
stand at any given point, which in turn varies with pain and muscle
tightness in my back and ribs.

But I'm happy with the BMI, as it's mostly muscle - sure, there's a
bit of an unwanted bulge around the trouser-waistline, but the legs
are now almost back to their former muscularity now, after a hard
season's skiing, some cycling to work, and the recent two weeks of
    sailing wouldn't have hurt either.

On other health fronts, we aquired an Aldi-special blood pressure
monitor a while back, and mine is generally around 110-120/60-70,
which is towards the lower end of the healthy zone, especially for my
    age. Which is noce.

  8. My BMI is 23.2 according to the NHS BMI measurement calculator.. which
just goes to show what a crap measure it is since I'm by no means fit..

Your BMI has no bearing on your fitness. In fact, the fitter you are,
the less it has any meaning at all.

  10. Indeed. However - it's often portrayed in the media as a measure of
health (which it quite clearly isn't) and fitness (which it quite
    clearly isn't either)

    Mine is 28.7.

I cycle at least 100 miles a week, go swimming once a week, and do two
weights sessions per week. And I'm overweight, bordering on obese
    apparently.

You two have me to a tee

    I don't think I've needed to eat 2500kCal a day since 2003

Of course as a result I shall live to 125
