I never realised they were so cheap. I might get one of those - my bike only has a side stand, so I can't do any maintenance involving slackening the wheel nuts myself at the moment!
They look okay, I will go and see if the local store has one today priced at $175 on ebay with an extra $35 for postage, makes the Kmart one cheap at $135 just checked around the kmart stores and they have sold out already
bloody cheap but how secure would the bike be? where does it make contact with the bike, underneath, but where? it would make my life easier mh
Lend me your bike for an afternoon, and for the small consultancy fee of $135 I'll perform a feasibility study for you. Wouldn't want to see you wasting your money buying one if it wasn't suitable for your needs. Nev.. '04 CBR1100XX
In aus.motorcycles on Thu, 29 Nov 2007 21:14:22 -0800 (PST) If it's like all the others of this type, it makes contact with whatever's on the bottom of the bike. So for things like full cradle frame dirtbikes or harleys, with the frame rails. For bikes with suspended engines like Guzzis, with the bottom of the engine. For bikes with full fairings, with a lot of expensive plastic.... Zebee
Two things to note. 1. This is probably made in China. Cheap lifts made in China have vary variable quality control, and some have been suspected of being made of licorice. 2. You have to buy or make "adapters" to suit your bike or the pipes/ sump/etc could be crushed. Otherwise it looks good. SteveB PS On the other hand if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
Hoi Marty, It's really not an option unless you have a cradle frame or the option is to make up a cradle to handle your bike and it's exhaust. Super Tens don't have that problem....a host of other problems but not that problem. justAL
