I think I was told "BESTCOPS" during my CBT were the pre-ride checks.

    B Brakes (Do they work)
    E Electrics (Ignition, lights)
S Suspension (Does it bounce when you sit on it)
    T Tyres (Are they inflated)
    C
    O
P Petrol (Can you hear it slush around in the tank)
S Steering (Does it turn properly)

    I can't remember C and O.

Not very good then is it?

See the whole purpose of the mnemonic thing is to act as an aid to
remembering something which ought to be remembered so either some of
this stuff is pointless and you know it or using BESTCOPS is full of
semantics which don't work on you. Probably a bit of both.

And if we are going to pick it apart the order is all wrong which really
    doesn't help.

  19. Kawasaki used to have a sticker with "Daily Safety Checks" under the
seat of some of their bikes. One, I remember, was "Handlebar Not Loose".
    Seriously.

For me, it's count the wheels and light the afterbrners.
