Poor form, but I have just discovered that Demon are now throttling
    NNTP, the cunts.

Why the useless wankers in support couldn't tell me that is a mystery.

Swapping to port 80 restores everything to normal.

  13. Quelle suprise. The only difference nowadays between Demon and the
other prole ISPs is the number of customers the (don't) have.
Because they are technically illiterate, minimum wage bozos working
    from scripts?
For now. Until they implement a mandatory transparent proxy and use it
    to filter traffic..

    Power.

    Hmm...

"Eject, eject" time, I think. Shame I've been with them for near on
    twenty years.

  18. Join the club. I moved away from them about 9 months ago after a long
series of frustrations and errors on their part. And I'd been with them
since the early 90's (I was among the first 1000 customers - or so they
    told me..).

I went to IDNet. And I'm happy with them (so far). And it's nice to
phone their tech support and a) get someone with a clue and b) get
someone who can *actually* fix the problem rather than just logging a
    call that then gets ignored..

Indeed, any ISP implementing a TP needs to be burnt at the stake.

Other than some undisclosed port blocking I've not discovered a Zen
    problem. Yet.

Then again so many people expect a £25 service for £1.99 so fuckem.
