I'm not asking for her thanks. I was pointing out a fact.

I like Jas, lots. Everyone knows I wouldn't intentionally upset her.

She didn't think twice about posting other peoples full names online
    though.

    Ho hum.

Well that's pretty much what I thought. I was hoping for a tad more
controversy, but a set of useful replies comes a close second. Much
    obliged, gentlemen.

Fast and thick skinned or slow and thick skinned and good at blocking
    punches in either case.

It could be, if someone who could draw, could be arsed to. :)

    I do too.

Anyone care to enlighten me as to where she is and what she's up to?
    By email, if necessary.

Last I heard she was working in the States, California to be a little
more precise. She'll be back here later in the year I think. Then
she'll be working back in mainland Europe for a while. I don't want to
go into too much detail as Jas might want to keep her exact whereabouts
to herself and just a few others.

No it's not, it demonstrates the rider's skill and commitment especially
    on a narrow tyred machine.

I think it would be appropriate at this point to mention the chicken
strips I have on the Guzzi (both ends) are only 5 or so millimetres wide.

Understood. Give her my best, if you contact her. The last email I
    sent her bounced.

I suppose that the modern thing to do, would be a flash animation.

You could try a set of Maxxis tyres. The front one I have is the only tyre
I've had in recent years that has scrubbed to with a couple of mm. The (now
departed) rear one had lost all of its chicken strips.

I suspect that they have a less pointy profile than other tyres but they
looked good outside of the pub and never actually ran out of grip.

I never seem to get the chance to practise for some reason...
    No, one of these: http://wigen.net/motor/ts50x.php

And yes, the one I use is 100% standard

Because they are built that way sir.
Expressly by design, so that sir does not lose traction from the steering
    element,
Or so I was told on the Dunlop experience.....

I'm strongly tempted to say "bollocks". Some bikes have more rear than
front, some about evens, some more front.

Whether this is down to the bike or riding style (this is what I
suspect to be the cause) I don't know for sure, and I'd need a
reasonable technical explanation before I believed anything.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were true. I've never come across one
where you'd go off the edge of the frint tyre before the rear. Not on
    original fitments, anyway.
Unless you drift the rear out in corners, I can't see how riding style
could possibly influence this. Sure, suspension loading will have a
small effect on the geometry, but ultimately the lean angle will be
almost exactly the same on both front and rear, so only the different
    tyre profiles will be relevant.
