If you wanted to see a real classic, you should have been there for the
great performance of the "Just Locked My Keys Under The Z400's Seat"
    embarrassed shuffle. No jacket-patting needed!

You'll be ok, I'm not taking a fast bike so you won't have to find
    your own way there.

This is true but the cheaper alternatives don't have a bar and we
ended up sat on a grass verge drinking from bottles last year after
they moved us away from the Ibis.

that's what I get when I look at it now. 65 euros which is £57.61

    £36.66 for the Etap

    £36.40 for the formula1

Ahh, I see. It really depends what time I finally book the train for
and if I can have the afternoon off that I've not sucessfully booked
yet. no point stopping at the nice hotel with the decent bar &
restaurant if i'm going to get there at 1AM local and just want to
    crash out for 6 hours.

I think we'll get there in time for just a couple of beers but that'll
do as a warm up for the rest of the weekend. I might even take a
couple of spare cans for late arrivals but there's no saying I won't
    drink them myself.

    Is it?

I have to say, I didn't particularly look at the price beyond checking
it wasn't outrageous. "It costs what it costs".

65 euros is not expensive. Even for an Ibis. Despite not yet having a
bike, I've booked it anyway, 'cos it's refundable up to a day or so
    before.

Unlike the Eurotunnel, which I'll book at the last minute.

I have a spare bike you could borrow.

Bit of a gamble on the "you blow it up, you fix it" front, mind.

    ZX10R?

I'm taking the Tenere but the Kawasaki's legal as long as you sort out
suitable insurance. I'll not bother offering the outfit because of the
amount of spare underwear you'd need to take.

If you're on the thumper he might as well take the KTM.

What's Adie taking? R1 or the naked Bear [1] bike?

    [1] Oh god, vomit, etc

Yeah, I could throw a spare tent and sleeping bag on my bike then all
he needs is clothes in a rucksack.
    R1 probably.
Nothing that can't be cured with a heavy dose of battery acid poured
    over your eyeballs.
