Adie was responsible for the planning.
We've just spent money and now it'll be forgotten for a few months.
    We didn't.
Where do cobbled streets enter the equation?

Strangely, I thought it might be a reference to your origins.

You recently said the Hull ferry was too expensive to use?

well, I'll know by the end of May whether I have a job or not, so I'll
    leave the planning until then.

And Biblical rain on the way to Dover. Never forget the rain. Oh, and
seeing Hog peeling onto the motorway up ahead, on his Ducati, and
trying to catch him on the 400 Four despite a 60mph speed
disadvantage. When you want to catch someone in heavy traffic, engage
    Ride Like A Twat mode.

I suppose I'll take the 400 again, though I have a yen to take the
SL125 and get there, er, slowly.

That was for me using it to get to that rally in Slovenia, or wherever
    it was.

For getting me and her to Chimay, it should work out as the most
    practical option.

Hmm. If I go, and it's a maybe, then there's only one bike in my stable
old enough to justify use. Only question is, am I stupid enough to use
    it for a continental trip?

Fragile, uncomfortable and currently managing 82 miles and a third of a
    bottle of oil to reserve.

Sounds like an ideal intercontinental tourer.

so only a couple of fuel stops between Calais and Chimay - no problem.

That's not much less than I seem to get out of the Monster when I use it
for commuting. (Petrol, that is, not the oil.)
    Sure it is.

Luggage is going to be the problem for us.

I dunno, other than a slight chance of throwovers getting close to the
upper exhaust, it should be no worse than the 7R was. I might have to
sort the iffy starting out before then though.

it's luxury - my R30 would do about 65 miles to reserve when ridden at
    motorway speeds continuously.
I managed to get a tent, sleeping bag and a rucksack with c/o clothes
    onto the back of a 400/four - don't be such a poof.
