I'd pull a sneaky one and fit it hoping she wouldn't notice but I
think it's a bit too obvious to get away with iyswim.

21st of July was the date of Belgium's independence, so it's celebrated
on whichever day of the week it falls.

    Put a sheet over it.

Or put one on each side and pretend they're hard luggage.

Bloody hell. Someone who knows what they're talking about.

Whatever the reason, it means there's going to have to be some serious
beer purchasing on the Saturday[0], or another foreign raid on the Monday.

[0] Do Belgium shops open on Sundays? I suspect not.

Three star hotels are the order of the day for B and me. The camping in
the rough is a thing of the past.

Both ideas would stand a chance of working if it wasn't for the fact
that she's probably reading this. Use email to contact me if you come
    up with something different.

  8. That wonderful little cafe, bakery, chocolate shop and beer emporium[1]
    in town is open Sunday.

[1] The one whose khazi we render unusable every year.

Sorry, I won't do it again.
I'm pretty sure the Chimay one was open last year on the Sunday but,
being Belgian, that might have been because it was closed on the
    Saturday holiday, IYSWIM.

Possibly. It'll need some reliability trials. Avebury?

He's always denied responsibility for the classic incident when some
elegant-looking lady went in after he'd just spent an unfeasibly long
time in there, and exited immediately, with a look of utter horror on
    her face.

    heh.

I think I'm headed towards RTB nowadays. For example, I rode my bike
to work last week when morning temperatures were in single figures.
    Imagine that!!

I admit that's been safely tucked up in the garage all of this week,
    though.

    That's a whoosh then.
One shouldn't have to convince a G/F, they should do WTF you tell them and
be fucking grateful for your attention.

For the record, I have never used the khazi in question.

But let's not allow that to get in the way of a good joke.
