Ah. Are we talking sub-Glastonbury bathing facilities here?

Ah, OK. It's a 'ride in and park by the tent' affair, presumably?

When/where does one pay for stuff?

you're talking "no bathing or sanitary facilities whatsoever". There
are some (fetid) portaloos infield, but I can't remember if they're
accessible in the evening (I think not).

    Top Tip: take bog roll.
on the way in the first time, you'll pay for a ticket that you need to
keep if you're going to nip out to the supermarket etc.

Oh joy. I think I'll push the outward leg back to Saturday then - having
just done five days of that in Somerset I can't quite face a full
Friday-Monday filth-fest, especially if i have to climb back into
    leathers at the end.

Not that I've been before but how convoluted? IE do I need to be
aiming for the 593 from Trelon?

Not as bad as you paint it, actually.

There are some fetid portaloos in the outfield, but I never dared try
them. The 'proper' loos in the infield are open all the time, as I
    recall.

And there are showers for around a euro.

Are you still going in a sidecar?

Ah, that sounds a bit more reasonable.

Now I just need a map. And my licence back from the DVLA would be
    useful.

Oh, OK. I can only remember that I made a point of not taking a dump
    all weekend.
fair enough, my memory is hazed.

The bogs don't faze me in the slightest - however bad they are, I've
seen worse - it's the lack of showers that's hard to bear.

I was in a khazi in Corfu town, where all the walls and the ceiling
were covered with smeared on shit, and on top of this, crawling with
4-5cm long beetles and roaches. Nice.
I know what you mean. When I was Interrailling, the lack of being able
to get a proper wash was what I hated most.

It's only for a weekend, FFS. How often do you need to shower anyway?

    You went 4* then, eh?
It can be pretty spirit-crushing to wake up in a tent, day after day,
soaked in sweat and knowing you're not going to be able to clean up any
    time soon.

    See other post.

I generally shower at least once a day. Doesn't everyone?

Once a month, whether I need to or not.
Well, yes, if a shower is available then I'd shower every day. I'm
pretty sure I could get through a weekend without a shower if I needed
    to, though.

Sheesh - what kind of RTB are you?

Packs or large size baby wipes have rendered the business of camping
    more sanitary/comfortable TBF.
