Indeedy, and well batted. If you trawl your memory banks, it was me

    much speed :)[/QUOTE]

Simes - the chap who made Bear look temperate. I did seem to get a bit
of a taste for pints - of wine.
Crikey no. An episode I don't intend to repeat in the near future
    though.
I'll drink (a nice little shot of Kirsch actually) to that.

  4. I know it's a quote and all that, but why do people wait until 24th
December each year to say stuff like this?

    ¿Qué significa esta fecha?

The day before a fictitious person wasn't born 2005 years ago. Oh, hang
on, that was in February sometime wasn't it? Then they moved the date to
hijack the pagan celebrations of winter solstice.

Not that I'm anti-religion or anything...

My understanding is that the concept of a "toast" is at least partly
seasonal, originating with the belief that whoever got one of the small
pieces of toast added to the wassail cup (prevalent at this time of year)
would have good luck in the future.

For some reason I misrememeberd it as being cherry beer, but that's
    kriek, isn't it?

Is Kirsch sweet tasting or does it have a little bite to it?

    ps. merry christmas everyone.

I weighed myself at 11 stone today, and I've come to the conclusion my
scales have a built in random number generator which means they can add
up to a stone from one day to the next.

New years resolution: buy new scales.

I came close 5 years ago when my daughter suffered a heart attack aged

    I think it's cos I'm tall. Being 6 foot 3 and a 34 - 36 waist does
    tend to hide the weight.

Muscle weighs more than fat an' all that gumph.
