Well I wouldn't call it an attack, but....... <g>

The Wings, like pretty much all Hondas are extremely well engineered
machines. While the Venture is quicker and will outrun the four banger
Wings it cannot outrun the six cylinder models.

I have a friend with an 06 Wing and it is one terrific bike. Handles
well, very fast and has all the options except the auto-wave button.

What the Venture does offer is more comfort (IMHO), better equipped
out of the crate and in Canada it is about five grand cheaper than the
    Honda.

And under the heading of personal taste, for many, like me, the
Venture retains that traditional motorcycle look combined with a 50's
    looking digital dashboard.

We live in a golden era for motorcycles. No matter what your taste,
there is a make, model, purpose and colour of motorcycle out there to
    feed your personal addiction.

And at the end of the day, it is all the same wind.

Well damit man...I better be thinking about getting a trailer hitch so I can
haul all these women folk around then. I will have so much chrome on mine
that I will have to carry a bat to keep em away.

Well said.... I like the Venture and I looked at several before I decided it
was a wing for me. You right about it retaining the looks of a motorcycle.
The Yamaha salesman told me that if I was going to go on a wing that I might
as well go in the truck..lol.

Hard to admit.I am a yamaha kindda guy.I wanted a venture the first time
I saw one.Kindda like the guys that buy a bike and then all that
chrome, when all they wanted was a wing anyway.

I imagine that Red-Shad will eventually wanna join one of them
    GoldWing Owners Group? (GOG) <g>

Those Ventures are only about 16,000+ and have a pretty big ole
    horsepowered cc engine, as well??-??

motorcycle of mine and how it got converted from a belt drive.
He had a bad enough time trying to figure out the shaft to chain part.

He'll catch up...he and his television are working overtime trying to
    sort this out...

Bjaykana: ''Theres always places on a motorcycle for chrome. How much
did they want for the ones at your Honda Store??
No Auto pilot on mine but I think that Red Honda 250cc that used to be
belt drive might have that on it. Will have to check with the owner and
    see.
    Redshad)

Actually that is true, we bikers are gonna find a place for more chrome
    stuff.

It sometimes takes more talent that other times, but by george, we can
    do 'er.

Red-Shad, the one I looked at, he said it was under 19,000 bucks.

So that could be 1899.00 right <g>??
Just think those Harley type Goldwings cost about 22,000 I know one that
    did!!

If that motorCrotch black-red Bike of Brians is a 250CC, it might weigh
350 lbs, I imagine. No, wonder??? (Rn laff)

    off!.

Probably this:: ''If you were going on a wing, ya might as well take a
    Land Barge''.
