    Hi,

I had a minor accident (dont ask) and my lovely Chrome exhaust took
the brunt of the impact leaving a nice scratch about 2cm high and 30cm
    long.

Whats the best way to cover this up without having to go to the
expnese of a new exaust or rechroming it. I heard scratching the
exaughts more with sandpaper and painting it with BBQ paint but if
possible i would like to keep the chrome look.

Any bright ideas or advise (apart from not having accidents on my
    bike) would be greatly appreciated.

Absoultely NOTHING will stick to chrome despite all the sanding, prep work
    or opinions to the contrary.
Polish it, preferably with a buffing macine, then cake it in wax polish
containing much silicone is all you can really do.

Also PVC waterproofs. The heat shield on a Morini rear pot header pipe
is there for a reason. DAMHIKIJDOK.

Yer can't buy polythene paint yet though, and them tesco shopping bags are
"single use only". He'd need a fucking shed load to keep his pipe looking
    mancky.
