Well, up to now I've had no probs, I don't drink the same thing very
often[1] and often mix them with no issues.

[1] Wine, Ale right up to and including Gold Label[2], Lager, Guinness,
Gin, Vodka, Whisk[e]y, Rum, Brandy, Liqueurs, all pass my lips regularly
in any combination depending on whats left in the booze cupboard.

[2] Lovely with a large Woods' 100 Dark rum chaser.

I had some of that in Cornwall a few years ago.

Tudor Rose has the same effect.
Yes. See above. I was at a campsite and drank this stuff, went to the
toilet block to have a dump and looking at the tiles on the floor were
moving about. When I came out it was dark and the trees had neon green
halos round them. Good it was.

Tutor Rose, a fortified wine I only ever saw in Budgens had the effect
of giving moving (and non-moving) objects vapour trails in fiery flame
    colours.

I suppose I've been a bit misleading. It wasn't actually cider but
    scrumpy. There's a subtle difference.
Blurchhh. It was stuff like Strongbow/Dry Blackthorn etc that put me off
cider. I didn't think, being a kid at the time, there was anything else.
    Try the aforementioned Scrumpy.

    Good, it is.

Westons stuff isn't proper scrumpy. It's fairly good but not like the
stuff you'd get from a cider farm; if you like that kind of thing.

Personally I'm quite fond of Perry which I found a source for a couple
    of years ago.

Westons is a very good mass produced cider.

    Scrumpy making is a craft.
Mmm, perry. Haven't had any for a while. Last time I was in Normandie we
discovered their perry was very good.

Oh, I'm with you there but it's the best of the bunch for where I'm at.
I can get the proper stuff but it's a day out and needs to be planned in
advance. I found some Perrys to be rather unpalatable but others, like
the medium sweet to be like nectar.

Each crimble I give Marina a silly pressy... Last year it was the
cheapest possible bottle of alcohol that I could find... Yessir Dalies
and Mentalgents, Tudor Rose was that bottle... She's still barking, go
    figure...

    £2:45 IIRC...
