It is if it needs more than a paint job.

Bits for late 70s and early 80s Guzzis are easy.

Bits for late 60s Ducatis are both hard and shockingly expensive.

There's a mob in Italy making pipes, so if it needs one of those then
it's not too expensive, but if it wants something like an instrument
pod or a gear lever then bits hunting can be an exercise in
    frustration.

Especially as much of the 2nd hand parts stock is in the US who mostly
    got scramblers.

I've tracked down all the missing parts. It is a complete basket case. Or is
    that a complete backet case.

hmm it was actually a statement , exchange the words good condition
with the words basket case , the ? was due to i couldn't quite remember its
    status

I want to get rid of mine , and put the cash int the mortgage

end of the day it all depends on how much cash you actually need to spend
    to put yours together

provided you have everything there and in decent condition then you are
    pretty right
apart from some time, some paint and powdercoat

Remind me... what have you got?

    I vaguely recall it's a narrowcase? Or is that smack's I'm thinking
    of.

Me, I'm always in the market for late model widecase bits :)

I'll make a good offer on any 350/450DM bits, Silver Shotgun or Yellow
Desmo. Even if those bits come loosely assembled...

I immediately wondered if you could get "DEVO" plates for it.

That's prezacly the bike I had in mind when talking Aido out of going
that route. I have the issue of Performance Streetbike where they did
the write up of it. From memory, no part of the frame was left untouched
    except for the engine cradles.

To people who make the distinction, it's classic Jap. To everyone
    else, it's a classic.

Might not be as classic as the GPz900 though.
