For a non debater and speller.. I'm damn sure impressed..LMAO.. Good post..
Now .. if I can just convince you to follow the good examples set by your
wife, get rid of that Ford and get a reliable GM product..It sure has been
hot for riding the past few days, hasn't it.. Kinda separates the bikers
from the wannabe's.. LOL.. (little humor)

    Sunny
I was not trying to bring you into the subject and I do apprciate you pointing
out how to kill file.I was talking about the post where names start getting
called because of what is said or what opinion is stated.I was not trying to
take sides (Bill this is where you will post about everyone needing to decide
what side they are on) I try to read everything everyone says and I take it
for what it is worth to me. if I dont agree then no big deal... if I do agree
then for me it is great. Now I maybe going into dangerous ground here because
I dont really know anyone other then what is posted here. But in MY opinion I
think that Bill loves to debate... and if he was the only one in the woods and
a tree fell he would debate whether it made any noise or not.
and there are plenty of others on here that love to debate also. but name
calling almost always gets into it. Another opinion of mine is when you resort
to name calling you are just showing everyone how weak your posistion really
    is.
Some of it is done in fun (I hope) and some of it is from people who really
were offended and could not come up with a way to debate the topic before they
started writting. The last one is me.I get mad then start plowing forward and
then go into getting aggressive and it just goes down hill from there.
as i said before I am no good at debates and I was not pointing any fingers at
you it was not the intension of my post to place blame or even get anyone
    going
I was just making a comment on what I saw on here
    BTW
how is chris getting along on his bike

And now for the motorcycle part of this post.
I cut the exhaust on the 79 KZ650 and it sounds alot better
but i bet the plugs are getting fouled...did I mention I road to town
yesterday and around the block today and it was HOT

Easy to eliminate the problem.. If you disagree so much with one of the
posters on this or any other "forum" click to the next thread.. LOL..
Been there, done that and bought the t-shirt..
    I have to admit.. I don't ride a Harley.. I wore a few out and I now ride a
96 Vulcan.. Ride with quite a few old Harley riders, though.. Just not on
their newsgroup.. LMAO.. Most of them don't have computers and wouldn't know
what to do with one anyway.. Other than the few "yuppies" that are around..
LOL.. (sic) again..Anyway .. the invitation is open.. C'ya around some of
    those places..

I received a $38 check from Farmer's Insurance today for
    "overpayment".

I guess that's my part of the $10 million settlement they did with
Perry to allow them to stay in Texas?

vehicle to drive.. 'Sides.. I already started enough of an uproar over
there.. Now.. go ride your ol' BMW and write somebody a ticket, or
something..You are truly one bad example.. Ford cruiser, BMW scoot and you
still ain't got any political savvy... LOL

  8. if i correctly understand what you did, which is de-restricting the
exhaust, then you are more likely to be running lean than rich. rich
might lean to fouling the plugs, but modern fuels don't leave many
deposits any more to judge by. lean is not a good thing as it tends to
make the engine run hotter, which can lead to pipe discoloration and
even burning a valve in serious cases. however, the full impact of
openingup the exhasut flow won't be made until you open up the intake
side by getting a free flowing air filter system. at that point you may
want to consider rejetting the carb slightly richer to compensate for
the increased airflow you are allowing.

in the meantime you are simply making more noise than doing much of
    anything else.

What are you talking about? You've cut into people (Kent Polk for just
    ONE specific) with the best.

Go ride your motorcycle. Oh, wait...you can't! Ok, go get some medical
insurance, learn to ride...then try again when you're a little more
    responsible.

I hate it when people break laws and are not responsible...then turn
to others when they can't pay their way. Especially after all the
times they say the "cost and hassles of insurance is no big deal".
Yeah, I guess not when you don't have any.

Brian, there are many reasons *some* folks don't have any medical
coverage. For instance, exorbitant rates due to a pre-existing
condition or chronic illness. I have a friend whose daughter was born
with brain damage and had terrible seizures from birth till she passed
away a couple of years ago. She wasn't expected to live more than a
handful of years, but made it into her early 20s. They were never able
to get medical insurance for her and were forced to carry medicaid on
her. Her father was one of the most hardworking, responsible men I've
ever met. We were leaders together in scouts when our boys were
younger. That is only one example. Another is my 20 year old son's
friend who was ill since birth and finally had a liver transplant a year
and a half ago. She, too, was never insurable.

These digs you keep making regarding Sunny's financial problems, lack of
insurance, riding ability, etc. really do no more than make you look
petty. I've been riding 26 years, and had my only motorcycle accident
last September. I was fortunate that my medical insurance paid my
$95,825 hospital bill, and 3 surgeries while I was in the hospital 16
days, then 2 follow-up surgeries in January and June. Accidents can
happen to anyone, and not everyone is as fortunate as I was. I don't
think it reflects on a person's riding ability when a deer runs into the
*SIDE* of your motorcycle and breaks your leg. The fact that she
maintained control of the bike, even after her passenger was knocked off
the bike by the deer says a lot for her abilities. You never mention
what you do for a living. Where you work, what kind of benefits you
have. Is your family fully covered for catastrophe? Just a thought.

Please refer to my post in January of this year regarding this "topic"..
Thanks.. don't think any more needs to be said on this issue..

We were leaders together in scouts when our boys were
The insurance issue was discussed on this group quite extensively.. I have
personally attacked our politicians and the insurance companies for gouging
and taking advantage of all of us, with high rates and exorbitant,
unaffordable premiums .. Response from a few on here were that it is "OFF
TOPIC" .. Don't affect me and my motorcycle, "I don't want you to talk about
it on my Motorcycle newsgroup..Well.. it does affect us and our motorcycles,
doesn't it, Margaret and Sunny..?? Even though it is indirect.. Do you make
    the connection, yet ?
Perhaps.. but then.. you don't know the complete story of this little
    relationship..

I've been riding 26 years, and had my only motorcycle accident
Sunny is a "rookie" compared to some who post on here.. I have and will
treat her with respect .. However.. I expect her to do the same.. I detest a
liar, thief or a bully..And I am not tolerable to watching a gang fight.. I
tend to want to even the odds.. I see that scenario developing here..We had
that mess on this group more than a year ago and I am seeing some of those
players re-emerge.. It didn't work out then and I don't suspect it will work
    out now..

    You never mention
Those are a few questions that are none of the business of anyone on this
group, why not let it all drop, Margaret ?

with any more success than it did before you were exposed so totally , last

I'll bet the first couple days after you weren't saying that...

Tell me, did you have insurance? How much does one of those cost? Was
it a full or partial? How long of a recovery did you have? Which
hospital was this done? Why did you have a hysterectomy in the first
place? Is there a scar or anything?

And I'll bet not a single time was the "no big deal" thought entering
into their minds when it came to medical insurance.

I just lost my daughter after 12 years. The first couple of years, I
called her my 6 million dollar baby because of the expense of testing
and work done to her. Not one single day was she using Medicaid or not
insured. From day one of when we found out my wife was pregnant and we
were going to have a family I went to finding insurance. I maintained
insurance all through that time. I worked many low income jobs just
for the benefits of insurance. Not insurable? Nope. No such thing.
People should have the right to many things, including medical care
when needed without putting themselves into extreme hardship. This my
dear is one thing I've always maintained. Yet when the subject is
brought up, people don't want to hear it until they are the one's
    affected.

Sunny opened the door long ago when she would take stabs at me about
my views of insurance by saying "it's no big deal". Well, as it turns
out it *is* a big deal. Now that it's Sunny's ox being gored, she's
trying to get hand-outs and whatever else. As long as it's not Sunny's
ox, Sunny don't care. I see *this* as irresponsible.

As far as Sunny's riding ability, it sucks. It's not just the deer
thing, but she could use a couple courses on how to ride safely. I
don't base my views of her abilities on one instance with a deer, but
an overall view. Sunny can't ride a motorcycle and is destined to hurt
people with her riding if she keeps giving rides. She shouldn't have a
passenger on the back with her...AT ALL. Someone falling off a
    motorcycle is BAD.

Now, you saying *some* people not having insurance like there's only a
few. The fact is that there aren't just *some* but many. This builds
for a bad society when you have people who can't get medical care when
they need it. There are many people who take stabs at me when I try
and discuss medical needs (Sunny was one) by saying how wonderful our
system is and how we should be happy with what we have. They say
anything else is just supporting the lower class people and calling it
"socialized medicine". Well, now in this case (as are many) a "fund"
has been set up to help with bills and instead of worrying about what
they are needing to like long term problems and complications, they
have to worry about costs. That my dear is something they ignored and
pushed under the carpet until they had to face it. Now they find out
what the rest of us have been screaming about all this time. I'm now
curious how many "check-ups" should've been made to Sunny's leg that
wasn't because she doesn't have insurance? I am also curious if she's
really getting the best care and the medical community is going the
same measures as they would if she HAD insurance?

Sunny is getting a dose of reality. I can't say I enjoy seeing anyone
go through it, but when someone won't see what others see then often
times the only way to wake them up is to let them plunge *into*
reality. Maybe next time someone brings up the subject of medical
costs to Sunny, she'll be a little more receptive.
