    heh. When we had our "new" loan subsystem rolled out a couple of years
    ago, all the instances of "principal" on the screen were "principle".

    When I pointed it out, I was asked why it mattered, one way or the
    other.

    "Because it looks like it's been produced by illiterate halfwits"
    didn't go down too well with the PM introducing it to the user base.

    But being a successful worthless lazy **** is one of the sweetest of
    life's pleasures. Sure, on the odd occasion one has to pull one's
    finger out and actually do something, but by and large the Wally
    principle is as effective as it is effortless.
