I got the Valkyrie out and rode today. It was cold, cloudy and overcast. I
rode so long and enjoyed it so much that I got a little wood. Ah, the
    exploits of old men.

I managed to get caught out in the cold rain that we had yesterday
    afternoon.

As usual, I rode to the office thinking it'd just be cold and cloudy.
I can handle both of those since I have a thick leather jacket with
plenty of armour and a hoodie and thick jeans with big ole boots and a
full face helmet and all. Once I get all that shit on, I don't even
know it's cold. Well, while I was at the office it started raining.
Looking at the radar, I figured it would just be a light shower and be
over. The longer the afternoon went on the harder it rained. Finally,
I left just before rush hour in a pouring cold ass rain. By the time I
made the 25 mile trek home, I was soaked from the tip of my helmet to
the bottom of my boots. My gear helped some, but the gloves were
soaked through, the back of my helmet had water running down into the
hoodie which had my back wet (does this mean I'm now a "mojado"?), the
rain poured all over the tops of my legs leaving my jeans soaked from
waist to ankle....even my ass was soaked from rain coming up over the
sides of the bike and getting in behind me.

Now, I'll tell you....all the gear in the world doesn't help when
you're soaked like that. The wet and cold doesn't bother me too much,
it's the slipping around in the greasy muck of the road and not being
able to see through the visor that bothers me the most.
