Ok so a train came off the tracks. Did the local MP have to make herself
look like such a clueless twat?

Louise Ellman, Liverpool Riverside MP, said: "I am very concerned, it
appears there have not been serious injuries," she said.

"It must be extremely frightening for people trapped in the tunnel and I
    feel extremely concerned.

"Merseyrail have a very good record in terms of safety but this is very
frightening and I hope there are not any serious injuries.

"The system is a very popular one and it has a good record. It recently
had more investment in the system and in my view is it's a model
    system."

What is she actually trying to say?

That it's VERY FRIGHTENING! For the love of god, a slow moving train
derailed and some people might have spilled hot tea down themselves!

Either that, or she hasn't read the police statement, and has only
spoken to the screeching bird I quickly sped past on one of the news
    channels.

I've just been watching it on news24.

All them luminous jackets, what is the deal with that? Is it all part
of ASBOs and tracking and shit or is it a new fashion thing, a sort of
    variation on the shell suit?

Nah, standard Notwork Rail practice - all personnel working on the line
*must* be in date for the appropriate training course(s) *and* be wearing
the requisite PPE including hi-vis jackets and decent boots. Furthermore,
they must be prepared to challenge all members of their work detail to
ensure that they too are wearing the necessary gear and are carrying their
Gucci photo-ID that entitles them to be "on or around the line".

Damn, it's a shame that there weren't more dead people.
Well, you never know, they might suffocate, then I'll feel better.
I have to say this, but I hope to see some blood and gore later on.
I haven't got a clue what I'm talking about, but I'll try to sound
    intelligent.
    Don't ask me.
