Collecting the Blade

Not IME. CH was my chosen route to get from my old house near Ross to
Oxford or the M4 at Swindon.

The most likely hazard on CH is a conked out truck blocking one of the
uphill lanes.

I'm pretty sure that the runnig-n speed on my Sprint ST was a lot more
than 60 as well. But of course, and as stated in the Champ method,
rigidly sticking to a maximum speed or rev limit is at best
unnecessary and at worse counterproductive.

I can't remember the exact 'max revs' guidlines but the first 100 miles
was up to about a top speed of around 60mph. I didn't sit at 60mph
constantly of course, but mainly between 50 and 70. Most of this was
on the M25, hence my post.

After 100 miles, the revs could be increased and after 500 miles
increased again. IIRC these rlated to around 80mph and just over 100mph.

Where's that Alan when you need him? I bet he's out on the Fireblade,
instead.

 

Heh. That's quite a bit higher, innit? IIRC my K3 redlined at 12500.
Even that was only used a handful[1] of times.
