<Bloody Optus! This may, or may not be a repost.>
1%ers do all these nasty, bad and illegal things, the police don't go and
put them in jail.why do you choose to side step it and go on about stuff which I didn't,
    intentionally, say write or imply?
    I made a statement that I didn't understand a situation.

I then asked a question........ the wee hooky thingie at the end is a
    dead give away....

I wasn't implying or alluding or any other thing..... statement then
    question.

Fer fucksake! I'm about the nearest to actually agreeing with some of
your rant, and you want to piss me off too! <shrug>

So you don't have a problem with nudists walking around the centre of

Are you saying they have gone to court on this and won, or just that
some dude with a law degree (dime a dozen) said they have a case?

I don't understand what you mean by "case law".

Also, what weight should I assign to the fact that you "gather"?

IOW, do they have IP rights or don't they?

Because if they do, I will stop defending the theoretical right for
people to copy the outlaw sartorial style. I'll also go to Taronga
Perk zoo and tell a monkey there that I'm his uncle...

So much bullshit... so few bullets.... I'm starting to think that
being a wanker is a prerequisite to riding a motorbike...
I give up... I'm sick of your obfuscations.

I did NOT sanction anyone masquerading as a war veteran and wearing
medals they did not earn. And I resent your attempt to suggest that I
    did.

If that's the level of bullshit you're willing to stoop to in order to
pretend to convince yourself that you've got a point, I quit.
I've know quite a few vets whose moral compass I wouldn't travel by
these days even if you paid me double time and a half.

The Outlaw clubs don't give two hoots about our laws, yet they seek to
impose their laws on the rest of us. And then they get heavy with
those who don't comply. I say they're no different to terrorists
anywhere else. Saying you undersand how they feel is like saying you
understand how the Bali bombers felt. I dare you to say that in the
    Coogee Bay Hotel, Geoff...

Now, back to the Rebels - if they want their feelings respected, let
them first respect our laws by not conducting themsleves like thugs
and stand-over merchants. And with regard to any perceived
grievances they might harbour, let them go through the proper channels
to seek "justice". Simple as that...

You can't go around dissing society and then bitch when someone
doesn't respect your crazy "rules" whichshould carry no weight at all
outside the clubs. Pure madness. Time they were all sectioned and
suitably sedated in some nursing home somewhere on the outskirts of
    the Simpson Desert.

I'm surprised no one has yet run the "First they came for the
Rebels..." bullshit. Then I could yell "Godwin's Law !!!"

So much wankery, so few bullets...
Being "in a postion to be unbiased" is in no way any guarantee that
one is in fact unbiased. I'd go so far as to say that there's no
reason to assume that being a vet and a member of a patch club makes
one likely to be an unbiased person at all. Why would you?

Ever thought of entering politics, Geoff?
And by doing so, you turned apples into oranges, made a couple of
straw men, and had them all goose-stepping down George Street on Anzac
Day. Logic had long since gone out to lunch, and Elvis had left the
    building.

    ****!!! I give up....
What the **** are you talking about now, Geoff? You've lost me
    completely.

A guy riding a motorbike wearing ex-army camouflage gear he bought at
a disposal shop and a couple of badges he bought from his local
Socialist Alliance street stall cannot seriously be confused with
someone trying to impersonate a veteran, and those badges cannot
seriously be seen as an attempt claim to have earned any war medals.
So long as he doesn't march like that on Anzac Day (and I see no
reason why such a person would), I don't think any vet in his right
mind (although there are a few who have misplaced theirs) would take
    offence.

Similarly, if I wear a patch which says LAW ABIDING MOTOR CYCLE
RIDER, and some rockers which are clearly relevant to nothing except
me and my pet dog, I cannot seriously be trying to pass myself off as
an Ourtlaw club member. So long as I don't try to go on runs with
outlaw gangs, or gatecrash their functions
(and why on earth would I?), I argue that the Outlaws have no case
whatsoever for legitimately taking offence, and should learn to pull
    their heads in.

Now... if a guy wears a Comanchero Patch and authentic Comanchero
rockers when he is not a member of the Comancheros, THAT would be
    grounds for taking offence.

    Apples and oranges, Geoff...
D'oh...Because the Rebels are a bunch of thugs?
I don't confuse thugs with lions.

Nor do I confuse thugs with war veterans.

Nor do I equate cute esoteric cloth patches worn by people who scorn
society and its rules, with medals awarded for service to one's
    country.

And I can still tell the difference between oranges and apples, Geoff.

No amount of obfuscation will ever change that. But _do_ keep
    trying...

    [crap deleted]
Nor do I. But I don't confuse awards and distinctions handed out by
the government for service to the country, with the crap a bunch of
anti-social thugs pin on each other to say "now you're one of us".

    Apples and oranges, Geoff...

And I don't confuse a specific club's patch or rocker with something
which is clearly not _that_ club's patch or rocker.

    Apples and oranges, Geoff...

As far as the general style of "outlaw" garb goes, unless they can win
IP rights to that, it's open season in my book..

Let's keep in mind that these are dudes who claim to scoff at _our_
laws whilst at the same time insisting that we, the general public,
who are not even members, obey _their_ "laws".

    Get stuffed, I say...

That's just pure hypocrisy and insanity, that is...

And if they want to get all heavy and thuggish about it, lock the
fuckers up and throw away the key. Who the **** do they think they
    are, anyway...

On this one, I'm with the cops...

    Go gettem, Ossifer !!!

    Chuck the book attem, yerronner!!!

    Yeehaaaah...

So many wankers... So few bullets...
[sigh] Seems I have to repeat myself _again_...

Until the concept "patch club" is legally recognised (by OUR laws -
you know the ones - the ones the "outlaws" piss on - yeah, THOSE laws,
Geoff), as being the sole property of Outlaw gangs, well until then, I
argue that it is not wrong (in the eyes of OUR laws - you know the
ones - the ones the "outlaws" piss on - yeah, THOSE laws, Geoff), for
any club or individual to adopt that _style_ of apparel, with the
proviso that they do not use anything which specifically identifies a
particular club of which they are not a member...

End of.. THEIR laws actually don't come into it at all, because they
carry no legal weight outside of the clubs.

And I'll say it again because it still hasn't sunk in, Geoff, but
they're actually quite hypocritical in suggesting that we are bound by
their laws whilst they adopt the "**** you" attitude towards our laws.

Now, given all of that, if these psychopathic fuckers want to get
violent about it, LOCK 'EM UP !!!

Gerry, No one is pretending these blokes are churchmice. But, neither
are the Ulysses members who sought to emulate them.

If they wanted to be outlaws, they should have joined an outlaw club.
They could even have formed their own if they felt so strongly about
their right to wear what they wanted.

Instead, they chose to get a patch the easiest way they could then tried
to turn them into colours with no regard for the consequence of their
actions on fellow club members. They were first class tossers. Even
their own club couldn't understand why they joined Ulysses if they
    wanted to be outlaws.

Your characterisation of outlaw club members as violent psychopathic
standover merchants is given the lie by the fact that the renegade
Ulysses members sought to provoke a violent confrontation by their
    attitudes and actions, yet failed.

Funny how you characterise outlaws as violent psychopaths yet give a
free pass to those who sought to emulate them in every way.

Had the outlaws actually been the violent psychopaths you claim they
are, the offending Ulysses members families would be scouring the
outback for their remains with metal detectors to this day.

Instead, the outlaws sought mediation in the face of provocation. Hardly
    the actions of violent psychopaths.

So it's not fair that the renegade Ulysses members have to answer to
someone else for their actions. Tough. Life ain't fair. You of all
people should know that. You attack the messenger for pointing out that
if you poke a sleeping bear with a stick enough times then there are
    going to be consequences.

You decry the clubs as racist and sexist for not opening their clubs up
to anyone. Motorcycle Clubs are not open to the public. They are private
organisations who have the right to refuse or restrict admittance to
anyone they wish. Just as Aborigines do with their tribal lands in the NT.

You have the nerve to call me weak as piss but how do you react to what
you perceive as injustice inherent in motorcycle club culture? You piss
and moan in an internet forum. If you had the grapes you'd confront the
    clubs yourself.

I'm not a spokesman for those blokes any more than I'm a spokesman for
the coppers, football clubs or anyone else who might be likely to kick
    arse if provoked sufficiently.

Its not about whether they're right or wrong to do what they do, it's
just a fact that it happens, and if you really want to change the status
quo, get out there and have a go yourself or stop fucking moaning like a
big girl's blouse because you choose to live in a perpetual quagmire of
    fear and loathing.

A dude rides into my street wearing a pink helmet. I wear a pink
helmet. I tell him he's not to wear a pink helmet in my street. He
disregards what I tell him, and he continues to wear his pink helmet
    in my street.

Is he provoking me or merely exercising his rights?

    What say you, Captain?
This is not about some Imams agreeing or disagreeing. This is about
the raped woman. Did she provoke the rapist or not. Did she deserve
to be raped? Is 'provocation' a valid excuse?

    What say you, Captain?
Well I think it is. So we agree to disagree.
Now here's the bit no one has gotten yet... They're outlaws. Get it?
Outlaws.. They have theoretically chosen to live outside the law.
They theoretically don't give two hoots about our laws. Yet they seek
to impose their "laws" on the whole frigging world. To give any
legitimacy to any of that is plain ludicrous.

They're a bunch of thugs playing 'dress-ups' who get shitty if anyone
they don't approve of dresses in a similar fashion. When they start
threatening and heavying people, it's time to lock them up.

  16. He's provoking you, how you react is up to you.
Provacation in your example is I believe most definately not a valid excuse.
I can't think of any valid excuse for rape actually.
To think you can throw sand in the face of someone whose sand pit you've
entered and not expect to get any reprecutions is ludicrous, weather it's
    illeagle or not.
I think the useless mob were playing dress ups too just that they were

So standing up for what you think is your right is "provocation" ?

Look, Doug, this has been done to death. I've said all I'm going to
say. I've already said it too many times.

What do you want from me?
There you go twisting it your way again. Get a job at KFC, Douggie.
I did not give a free pass to anyone to be violent psychopaths.
You're peddling an outright lie. Is that all you got?
The threats were enough on that occasion. Plenty of coronial evidence
around as to what happens if you don't cowtow to these violent
    psychopaths.
Calling someone to come to your clubhouse where you then threaten the
**** out of them is not what I call mediation. Your're spinning crap
    again. And you know it.
If these fuckers don't have any IP protection for the _concept_ of
the Outlaw "look", then under law, anyone can imitate the 'look".

Threatening people and using stand-over tactics if they don't comply
with your mad ideas, is illegal and the mark of a thug.

You are an apologist for thugs because you know full well that they
are thugs. You're just not even honest enough to come clean about it.

You want me to respect you for being a lying piece of shit who tries
to cover for psychopathic thugs? Don't hold your breath Douggie.
No, I just read on Wikipedia that they were racist and sexist and you
    agreed that that was correct.

You think being racist and sexist is ok. I do not. And generally,
    nor does the law.
Who called that bunch of thugs a respect-worthy culture? I've seen
    better cultures in petri dishes.
That would be seen as being "provocative". And we all know what the
Imams of Motorcycling think about _that_.
No you're not a spokesman for them, but you are an apologist for them
and a denier of what they really get up to. You're a whitewasher. A
propagandist. And their "ink" man (probably).
This is a public forum and I'm exercising my right to free speech.
I'm expressing my opinion. I don't have any wish to launch a
campaign. That's for those who want to fight for their right to wear
"the look". I'm just saying that they have that right and don't
deserve to be intimidated or worse.

I wouldn't be caught dead wearing such Neanderthal garb. I'm happy
with my cardy with the elbow patches.

And I certainly have no desire to join a bunch of violent psychopaths.
I did that when I went to Vietnam. After a few months of machine
gunning my way around the place with 9RAR, I was seconded to a MAT
team to train South Vietnamese psychopaths to kill North Vietnamese
psychopaths (the non-sarong wearing kind.) Go through the archives of
the MACV HQ in Baria (since that was a cover for the CIA, I guess
you'll need to ask them for the records.) You'll find my name in
there somewhere. (Getting a woody yet, George?) The thrill wore off
pretty soon after that though... and here in Australia, the top
psychopath retired on a hefty prime ministerial pension, a government
car, and free air travel for life. Psychopathing has its rewards, eh?
    But I digress...

However... I will call it as I see it, Douggie. You got a problem
    with that,?

Shit!!! It's 2.20am. Time flies when you're having flashbacks, don't
    it?

  18. No Gerry, but I am sitting back enjoying your attempts at trying to get
yourself out of the boghole you have dug got for yourself

Gerry, you obviously know nothing about outlaw clubs or the administration
    or membership of them,
    I rode with a club,
( remembering as you would not Gerry, that this is in the days of no patches
    at all
patches were not brought in till the mid 1960's )
    before I went overseas,
which you claim I didn't and that is a completely different story,
however, when I got back, after a while I was asked to ride with them again
which I did for quite a few years,
I am still involved with outlaw clubs, ( plural ) but not as a member and I
find that their policies are very similar to my beliefs, this is why I
prefer to ride with them, talk to them, visit their clubhouses/ pubs etc.
I ride my bikes whenever possible and will probably die on one because I do
a lot of miles, yet, even though I may look like an "outlaw bikie"
theoretically today, I wouldn't qualify as one

No, you say expectations, he says laws. Which is it?

I could wear a shirt with swastikas to a Jewish gathering, or fly an
Israeli flag at a pro-Palestinian rally, as I have a right to do so.
Would it be a wise thing to do?

What about if I went to NZ and painted a moko on my face before walking
    into a Maori pub?

Would I illicit much sympathy if I was threatened for doing so?
Not very well. The rules the clubs live by is the reason for their
solidarity. You know the rules when you join. They don't change over time.
One may ask the same of the police.

Instead of forming (reinforcing) your beliefs by looking at the
