Congestion Charge cameras - not bad at all

OK, bad in the sense that I've got a piece of paper with a picture of
the tail of the Gypmobile with a ridiculously disproportionate fine next
to it, but not bad in the sense that the camera managed to clearly pick
out the spangly UKRM sticker on the plate.

On that basis I guess chase plates are little protection on bikes :-(

They are, but it's an ANPR system that reads the rear plate on vehicles
AFAIK so it will "see" bikes.

A tiny one that's hard to read when being chased, at a guess.

when I used to commute into The City on my old beemer, I deliberately
kept the plate completely unreadable, by spraying it with chainlube[1]
and throwing dirt over the top of that.

Not to avoid speed/congestion cameras, but to be able to ride in bus
    lanes.

A dwarf bukkake party on the back of yer bike would probably distract
the cops, so yes, that'd help.

Swine! I nearly had a tea/keyboard interface moment there.

I used to do that. Some less than amused copped made me scrape the
shite off in the pouring rain on the M25. A TOG trip I think.

I doubt their nationality would make a difference.
