  6. Respect to both sets. We hit thirty two years last April, which I find
terrifying. Himself says you get less than that for murder. Hm.

So, you're not really the Bedford Bastard, then?

    I want a refund.

We'll have been married 2 years tomorrow so I'll be close to 100 by
the time it gets to 50 years. Don't anyone hold their breath waiting
    for the party invite.

I think you're a bit older than 47 if you're entirely honest about it.

I am. However, if you'll be 100 by the time your 50th rolls around, and
you've been married 2 years, that puts you somewhere in the vicinity of 52,
    sonny.

Close to 100 = 95. Either way it's academic because that Russian
monstrosity will have sorted you out way before then.

    Fine engineering tolerance there.
"monstrosity"? That's a devastatingly effective cross-country weapon of
massive destruction. And it's not me it sorts out.

  19. We made 25 in September, and celebrated with a blow-out dinner for some
    20 friends at a hotel in France.[1]

It was rather nice to see the thought that some people had gone into, in
the way of presents. One couple had dug out some old pictures of us and
(younger!) kids at a party, and had them mounted in silver frames. They
now stand on the dressing table: pictures we had no memory of having
    been taken.[2].

A helluva lot of booze was sunk, including an unfeasible quantity of
champagne[3]. Someone else had had the forethought to ring up the hotel
and when The Doctor and I went into our room, there was a bottle of
champagne on ice, so by the time we joined the others in the bar we'd
    already polished it off.

I think wedding anniversaries, like weddings, are a splendid way of
    getting joyously pickled.

[1] Chepy, destination of a couple of ukrm runs
[2] We weren't sober at the time.
[3] It's amazing how easily it slips down.

Both my parents and my wife's parents are coming up for 35ish years.
This seems to be even rarer.
