This is yet another example of the calibre friends that I have
found myself surrounded by.. The incident about the flat tire
and the ride to Sulphur Springs being well discussed on an-
other thread was consistently referred to as being somewhere
in the vicinity of Interstate Highway 35.. As a matter of fact
IH 35 was referred to any number of times.. hmmmpppffff..

Everyone in Texas knows that IH-35 runs north and south..
Ain't this a hoot.. my good riding buddies don't even know
    WTF they are.. ROTFL..

Far be it from me to enlighten these turkeys .. hell.. I use the
sun for my compass and never get lost.. no matter where I am..
<sigh> Oh well.. what can anyone expect from a buncha damn
Republicans.. my loyal companions can't go anywhere without
those GPS gizmos and such.. They've even got to get the ones
that talk to them with directions and such..

Hey.. you Nitwits.. that's IH-30 that goes from Dallas to the north-
east.. not IH-35 which goes from Dallas to Houston to the south
and north to Oklahoma City and points north..

All this mis-information was pointed out to me by an anonymous
friend who has also been the subject of abuse from these guys..
Many thanks, anonymous friend.. you know who you are..

Sheesh.. what a bunch of turkeys.. I think I'll just replace that
rear tire on the Green Vulcan before I do anymore serious rid-
    ing..

You better double check your sources. You were riding with human maps and
your source is jealous.....we didn't even mention I35.

Bill, did you pick up a foreign object?
    It could've happened to a new'un.
Unless your tire was pretty bald!
I just put a new rear tire on both bikes.
    (costly)

Yup.. there was something like a framing nail in that tire.. That's not
the entire problem, however.. It was necessary to run that low tire
far enough for it to get pretty hot.. enough so that you could smell it..
All things considered.. and in light of the anticipated trips ahead of me
this year, I'd feel much more secure to just replace the damned thing
now .. even though it has good tread left.. The cost of the tire now, will
be marginal when that old tire just might go bad in a remote area down
in Mexico .. The damned tires for motorcycles are ridiculous in price..

Sammy White will have that tire mounted up in now time and probably do a
damn good job. I hear they are the best at it.

I gave them a call and the guy told me they'd have to order the tire.. It
should be there in about a week and a half.. They can schedule the
installation two weeks from next Wednesday.. If I'm lucky.. should have
it all attended to by the time we go to Mexico..

Or they'll sell you some tire tools and let you change it in their
parking lot while they tend to those Sea-Doo craft.
