Had a very productive afternoon in the garage fettling the 2C/375. Not a
lot left to do now, but I noticed a crack in the front mudguard. About 5
cms running by a rivet on the mounting bracket.

IIRC the same happened about 20 years ago, but I didn't spot it until
the back half of the guard nearly fell off, but I was able to get an
original item in the correct red paint lined with gold and black lines
to replace it. No chance of that today. Any welding/brazing solution is
going to mean an extensive repaint job and I may go down that route
eventually. For the moment all can think of is to take it off, drill a
small hole at the end of the crack to stop it and treat the underside
    with JB Weld.

Will that hold it for a while, or do I need to bite the bullet and take
it to my tame, and very good car body place to do properly now?

  2. It might. It's amazing stuff.

I'd be tempted to drill a small hole, and pass a bolt through with a
wide washer on both sides of the crack. And slather the whole thing in
    JB Weld.

JB Weld definitely fixes everything except a broken heart, and TBH I'm
not 100% sure that it wouldn't fix that, too.
