Before we do these things we do our homework don't we? Or don't you?
And that is why I am here.
I'm not trolling, and that really seems to freak you out.

  2. Not a chance. You could ride a trike, of course. To do that, you have to
grow a beard, shave your head and wear stupid shades.
Personally, I think you're daft. Long before helmets were compulsory, I
wore one 99% of the time. And that was when there was a fifth of the
traffic that's on the roads now.

I'm trying to imagine what kind of surgery would stop you wearing /any/
helmet, & failing. Sure you might not be able to wear one that fits,
but couldn't you get one of the uber-light CF ones & carve out a load
of the polystyrene so you're left with a very light & loose shell that
barely touches your head apart from on the top? It wouldn't help much
in a crash, but plod would be none the wiser.

I think the growing arm hair on his face suggests it not quite run of the
mill surgery. Major maxillofacial stuff I'd guess.

Yup - most of maxilla, left eye & cheek, with excision of lymph nodes in
neck and then the re-constructive stuff which is pretty swollen and
won't go down for quite some time.
(Gor bless the NHS who looked after me wonderfully well)

The amendment permitting wearing the turban doesn't appear to refer to
any capacity restriction. I don't imagine it would be practical at
full tilt on a Hayabusa, though, but I could visualise the speed
criminal TOG peering out of one as he terrorises the back doubles of
    central London on his GN250...
