D&D Penalty?

  1. If serving it would be worse, there's the standard catch all of
    bringing which ever armed force into disrepute. Essentially appearing
    in a civilian court will usually automatically invoke some form of
    service discipline.

    I was talking to a US Navy Master Chief about DUI. He said in the 'old'
    Navy it was an unwritten law that you were expected to have at least one
    conviction in civilian court on your record in order to make Master
    Chief. These days you get the boot automatically upon conviction. This
    of course, could be bollox.
