Today I saw a Harley with pedestrian mutilators attached to the
headlights Sort of like very sharp cap peaks hooding the headlamps that
stick forward by about three or four inches. How ever would these pass rego

  3. The light visor - also found on some older cars & stuff

Another one i saw recently was conical headed bolts - about 20mm high,
    for that extra shredding!

The original purpose of these was to block light spill from the
headlights into the drivers eyes (allowing maximum possible dim light
adaption for the circumstances and reducing glare) and as a bonus
reflect some extra light towards the road.

These days they are purely a styling thing...

I would be more worried with the 300kg+ of mass hitting me at speed

  6. The original pedestrian slicer was the front guard number plate mounted
    lengthwise along the guard
this was the main reason for the abandonment of front number plates.
You still see some front plates mounted this way, but they are mostly on
Club registered Classic Veteran or Vintage machines
or, on the odd occasion, a pommie registered visitor's bike

Not fitted originally. Bike not checked by inspection since original
    registration.
