Either way, my 5/1 bet at the start of the season is looking healthy.

 

I'm perfectly aware of how it *should* be pronounced and you're not the
first person to be dull enough to try and correct me.

 

He wasn't good enough to win a championship against his contemporaries.
Simple as. He was great fun to watch as a rider, but he wasn't really a
champion.

That said, to finish first, first you have to finish, as they say. And
finishing sure beats having your legs stitched together like a mermaid,
or paralysing yourself from the neck down.
