I still laugh at the memory of my youngest brother riding his tricycle at full tilt into the side of a bus. Being a village location and quite a few years ago, the driver was able to take the time to deal sympathetically with the incident. The driver must have been trained to test for concussion by asking the victim to count to 10. My brother however was so incensed at anyone doubting his numeracy that he didn't co-operate, and a rather worried-looking driver delivered a very cross small boy back to our house. My brother was unhurt, and even the tricycle suffered only minor damage.
A thread on the more serious consequences of not paying attention/over exuberance might be considerably more edifying than the perpetual safety nazi/stupid cage drivers/everyone else's fault threads. "It's all fun and games until someone (else) loses an eye"

FFS you really are an accident prone SOAB. Most of us get through an entire life with one, maybe two broken bones
Accident prone or reckless? The pallet was balanced on top of an 8 foot high wall of four inch blocks and rather than kick it off I thought it would be 'fun' to see if I could walk across it and maintain my balance. I didn't realise it was one of these cheap 'one sided' pallets so the bit balancing on the wall was actually a 2 inch wide piece of wood... placed diagonnaly across the 4 inch block IYSWIM.
None so far, despite my best efforts. When I was a kid I remember there were some who always seemed to have an arm in a sling or be hobbling around on crutches, and some who never broke anything. Must be down to having a cheese-rich diet.
Hey, that's even beaten me! I reckon I got 19 in my recent spill. (9 ribs, 9 vertebrae and the sternum.) -- _______ ..'_/_|_\_'. Ace (brucedotrogers a.t rochedotcom) \`\ | /`/ GSX-R1000K3 (slightly broken, currently missing) `\\ | //' BOTAFOT#3, SbS#2, UKRMMA#13, DFV#8, SKA#2, IBB#10 `\|/` `
