Daytona200 1xDucati v 50xJappers....

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by TerracottaWarrior®, Mar 4, 2004.

  1. Ducati have put all its eggs in one (1) basket, i sole 999R v a field of
Jappers, talk about doing it the hard way.

What a difference a factory-supported effort has made to the speed of the
    bike

All the same the 999R although 2 cylinders less has rocketed around in the
46's while the Jappers are in the 48's

Good luck EricB.,dont go all funny like brother Ben....

"I can't believe how fast Eric (Bostrom)'s bike is. I mean, full
Superbike spec against essentially production bikes. That's just not
right, is it? I tell you, if I had a bike that fast, imagine how fast I
could be," Suzuki's Mat Mladin said from the Yoshimura garage after
Daytona qualifying. "They've won every World Championship there is to
win over the last 20 years, racing (here) against bloody street bikes.
    What's up with that?"

  3. What a load of trollop from that Aussie/Yugo boy.

The 749 IS a production bike prepared by the factory otherwise it would not
be allowed to enter, just like HIS Suzuki,Ducati have ONE bike against a army
of Jappers with DOUBLE the cylinder capacity

Just a sook really,no wonder Cagiva fired him all those years ago

Loves to pat-himself on the back too, very modest

No, he is talking about the advantage gained from having twice as many
cylinders... you know... like how a 3 cylinder Daihatsu is capable of 140kph,
    and a 6 cylinder has a top speed of about 140kph... therefore a V6 3.8 litre
Commodore, with twice as many cylinders and 5.8 times the capacity of the
daihatsu has a top speed of 1,624kph and the 5 litre V12 Daimler with twice as
many cylinders as the Commodore and 1.3 times the capacity has a top speed of
4,273kph. Shit Clem, don't you know anything about engines?

Mladin won Daytona, Bostrom's Ducati did not finish due to mechanical
    failure.

    Fancy that.

Said it b4 and say it again (got a pebble in its oil cooler) God Bless Air
    Cooled....

Fancy trying to take on 50 Jappers with 1 (one) bike,at least 2 or 3 would
    have been better odds
Yeah makes u wonder about all the bitching that Matt was going on about

Always next year,LEAST the Maranello concern smoked them in F1 today, some
honour for Italy all the same
