Blimey, I'd forgotten how stiff they are when new.

Took ten minutes to get each one done up this morning, and I left them
on all day for fear of not getting them on for the journey home.

Once on, they're fine, but doing the zips up wasa major challenge, and
they're the "wide fit" version, too.

Trying to change gear with almost zero ankle flexion was a challenge,
    as well.

What model did you buy? I had mine refurbished just before riding to
Malta, and was bloody glad I wore those ones for the trip, rather than
the Oxtar race boots I own.

Roadstar summink or other. My old Travelstars are possibly beyond help
now, and would need new soles and zips as a minimum.

The main problem is the cracking of the leather just behnd the gear
change pads.(which have almost made a bid for freedom)
