    Good afternoon Mr Hewitt,

Thank you kindly for your e-mail concerning your visit to the above
    service station and their
request that you remove your crash helmet before buying fuel.

I must advise that this particular service station is independently run
from Total UK Ltd. The site
does sell Total fuel but the property & the staff are not owned or
employed by Total UK Ltd. Any
complaint about service should be directed to the service station owners
    Mr & Mrs Richardson. The
telephone number for Shieldfield Service Station is 0191 xxxxxxxx.

    Kind regards

    Customer Care Dept

It's not really worth speaking to the oil companies as most filling
stations are run on a franchise basis. All they care about is making
money on the fuel - the standard of the franchise it's sold from doesn't
    really matter.

That's not normally the case with a true franchise, the supplier would
normally be very keen to maintain at least a minimum standard. However,
daily working practices are left to the individual operator.

Aye, and all you biker scum can **** right off.

There's a fucking good reason why bikers have to remove their helmets before
paying ... it's not that we're worried about being robbed, it's just that
the staff have crap, minimum wage, jobs and laughing at helmet-hair is the
only perk they have (other than switching the labels on the diesel and
    unleaded pumps for a laugh).

Well what are the chances of their being more than one couple with the
surname Richardson in the North-East, eh?

Anyway, as it's you and you hinted you could do me a good deal on getting
the Honda serviced I'll tell the staff to make an exception in your case ...

.... from now on you'll be able to keep your lid on while filling up and
paying, but you will, for security reasons, have to drop your trousers and
waddle to the till, while singing the nursery rhyme of your choice.

    Fair deal?

Erm, quite high I would say. At work we have no less than two Andrew
Hewitts (three Andrews all told) and two Steve Johnsons (four Steves all
    told).
I think the price of that service just went up!

You needed to get that off your chest, didn't you? I'm glad that I could
    help.

BTW, if you need to worry about getting back to work you're in a shit job :)
