Dear Santa

  1. I have been a very, very good boy. I haven't called anyone a **** (who
didn't desperately need it) and I have always washed behind my ears.

Please can I have one of these?

I promise not to bomb or strafe anyone who matters.

    Love,

    Nigel (aged 47 1/2).

There is a Cessna 150 on eBay which you could actually fly on your
licence and (more importantly) you could probably afford.
    Item 180442803459
Low feedback private seller though, so I would want an independant survey
    before parting with any money.

  4. Actual proof of the jet engineer's maxim - strap enough power to a
turtle and it will fly. It's an ugly fucker from some angles.

go on then, and try a Pugachev’s Cobra first time you take it out.

    I'd pay money to see.

  6. I didn't see "Will take broken V-Max in p/ex" anywhere in the ad.

Wonder how much? And how much per flying hour?

I suspect you're right: the maintenance issues are the killer.

"Both aircraft have freshly-overhauled (zero-time) airframes with
zero-time engines". I guess it depends on what "zero time" means: zero
    time left or zero-time used?

Fit big enough ailerons and elevators and it'd be no problem. The turtle
might not like it, but that's no reason not to do it.
