I'm fucking always doing that typo. And actually, at the speed I was
doing along that stretch, probably more like 14mpg. Matey in the FTO
was haring on behind me, clearly desperate to get past me, so I was
redlining in 2nd and 3rd a lot of the time, which doesn't make for a
frugal experience in an RX-8. A. said to me "why can't you just let
him go past", and I was at a loss for a coherant answer, apart from
maybe that I was being a big a dick as he was.

bad form, but I meant to mention that one of the cars I undertook was
a Porsche GT3 in pseudo-Martini racing colours - it looked absolutely
    fucking fantastic.

  8. If this refers to lane-splitting and generally cruising along in lane 2,
undertaking lane 3, on the motorways and larger A-roads, they are
talking bollocks. It's so common in the busier parts of the country the
car drivers would have to be brain-dead to assert it was unusual.

Can we have a NG ban on mentioning GT3's please. The latest one in
    particular is utterly stomping.

My exact question was "How do you feel about passing on the left on a
multilane road?". And the response was as above, except when traffic
    was crawling.

It's just complete bollocks though, isn't it. Unsustainable in the real
world. Lane one would need to be diving on the anchors every time lane
3 slows down. I guess you could single out people who lane switch to
undertake but any Plod that pull me will get the following reply.

"It would be impossible to undertake them if the other vehicle had been
in the correct lane, so go and talk to the people who are causing
    disruption in the traffic flow"

Now Plod can reply and act as he will, but my monicker is "see you in
    Court".

There are those of who lane switch, undertake, lane split, hard
shoulder, outer verge at twice the prevailing traffic speed. I think we
accept that is coming the utter ****. And we hope to be on BBC news if
we get pulled with video evidence! But quite honestly it is one of the
top 3 reasons I ride bikes.

I know somebody who did exactly this, and probably at only 20 mph, and
got a 6 month ban for it.

You do realise you can still be given a uk licence, purely for the
    purpose of banning you?

Nope don't want the Turbo engine in any form, on the road.
And as for extra top speed I've never found enough public road to get
the "S" over 170mph, or track to get over 150, so there is no point.

That's as good a reason as any. It just happens, is all, and thank ****
for that, for if it didn't we'd be women.
