I think my copy of Riddley Walker has now made it to Switzerland since
I lent it out. One of these days I'll remember to stop lending books

it is an absolute classic. Just not a very widely known one.

Quite a few echoes of it in Self's "The Book of Dave", mind.

 

I think WS acknowledged his debt when he wrote the introduction to my
copy of RW.
